We couldnât be more proud to have held our first-ever Lodgify Meetup yesterday! Hosted in Miami at the Miami Ironside Business Center, this exclusive event gave hosts the chance to learn from industry experts and gain the insights, tools, and strategies they need to launch and grow their business.
Of course, we wish our entire community could have attended. But for those of you who missed it, we have the next-best thing: top highlights and photos from the day!
Our first-ever Lodgify Meetup
As youâll know if you follow our blog or frequent industry conferences yourself, we love attending vacation rental events and do our best to be at as many as possible. Thereâs no better way to connect with hosts and learn about their challenges, goals, and successes.
So, when the opportunity arose for us to plan and host our very own event, we didnât hesitate. Not only would this enable us to connect with our community on a deeper level, but it also meant that we could share the resources and insights we think hosts need most.
Hence our theme: Smart Hosting: Strategies to Start Strong & Scale Fast. With this focus, our goal was to help hosts:
- Get more direct bookings and boost their revenue
- Discover the latest industry trends and winning strategies
- Make their brand and property stand out for greater visibility
- See how Lodgify can take their business to the next level
To that end, we partnered with some of the top professionals in the industryâmore on that next!
Sessions designed to help hosts start strong and scale fast
The Lodgify Meetup began with a warm welcome from our Regional Marketing Manager Charlene Lidyard Garrett, after which she gave some insights into the current state of the short-term rental industry. Then Charlene kicked off a morning of valuable sessions led by vacation rental experts.
Targeting, styling, and marketing your STR for maximum bookings | Kristen & Michael
First up were Kristen and Michael presenting a session titled âYour Guests Are Your Brand: Targeting, Styling, and Marketing Your STR for Maximum Bookings.â
Hosts of the Joshua Tree-based property The Seventh Ray House and vacation rental content creators, Kristen and Michael have successfully boosted their website bookings by a jaw-dropping 2,697%âeven amid a turbulent local market. Thankfully for us, they shared all their insider tips in their session, focusing specifically on smart targeting, intentional styling, and savvy marketing as strategies to drive real, sustainable growth.
âWe hope the audience walked away today knowing that this is not a passive business,â Michael shared at the end of the day. âYou have to be strategic. You have to put the love into your property if you want the return to come back.â
Basics of revenue management for property managers | Amber Prickett from PriceLabs
The second session of the day was led by PriceLabs Solution Consultant Amber Prickett, who shared strategies to help property managers save time and prioritize right with their revenue management.
More specifically, Amber discussed how leveraging automation, analytics, and performance-driven decision-making can help optimize pricing, streamline workflows, and ensure no revenue opportunity is missed.
âI hope the audience walked away today knowing that they can take baby stepsâthey donât have to take a giant leap into dynamic pricing and revenue management,â explained Amber. âAt the very least, I hope they walk away knowing that thereâs a lot of guesswork and time involved with manually pricing. Hopefully they see options such as PriceLabs as a more viable solution that can help them alleviate some of those challenges.â
Floridaâs state and local vacation rental regulations | Denis Hanks from FAVR
Ask any host what their top challenges are, and navigating strict and changing legislation is sure to make the list. So, we were happy to be able to offer Florida hosts some tips from an insider source: Dennis Hanks, who is not only the Executive Director of the Florida Alliance for Vacation Rentals (FAVR), but also has over 30 years of experience in state and municipal government, lobbying efforts, and economic development.
As part of his presentation, Denis covered what hosts should know about basic compliance in Florida, frequently missed items in local and state regulations, safety trends, and how to get involved in advocacy and engagement.
What did Denis hope attendees got out of his session? âThe most important thing to walk away with today is to get involved, be part of the conversation, talk with your local elected officials, and work with FAVR on any issue there isâon a local level or a state levelâso that you can be more profitable and compliant.â
The smart way to scale your vacation rental business | Lucas Queiroz from Lodgify
It wouldnât have been a Lodgify event if we didnât talk about Lodgify! Thankfully, we had Lodgify Product Specialist Lucas Queiroz on hand to explain what Lodgify is and how it helps hosts scale the smart way.
A live product walkthrough gave attendees a first-hand look at how our solution works, and a Q&A session took care of any lingering doubts. What better way to get to know Lodgify?
Thank you to our partners and attendees!
Weâd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners, PriceLabs and FAVR, whose support made the Lodgify Meetup possible. Their commitment to innovation and community in the vacation rental space helped us create an unforgettable day of learning, connection, and inspiration.
Weâre also deeply grateful to everyone who attendedâyour energy, curiosity, and passion for hospitality are what make events like this so meaningful. Whether you traveled across the city, state, or even from outside of Florida, thank you for being part of the Lodgify community and helping us make this meetup one to remember.
See you next time!
Thatâs a wrap on the Miami edition of the Lodgify Meetupâwe hope itâs the first of many!
