What a whirlwind of a few days!
Our team has been in London this week for both The Shortyz and the Short Stay Summit, and we can’t wait to share all the highlights with everyone who couldn’t make it. If that includes you, keep reading to learn more about these two events and our favorite moments from each.
The Shortyz
The first item on our London agenda was to attend The Shortyz, an annual awards ceremony hosted by Short Term Rentalz. The Shortyz recognizes excellence, innovation, and achievement in the short-term rental industry by bestowing awards across a number of different categories.
To take things up a notch, this year the ceremony involved an elegant sit-down dinner and drinks reception. And that’s not even the most exciting part of this year’s event!
We were nominated…
As we mentioned above, The Shortyz gives out awards across a number of different categories. Businesses apply to be considered for a specific category (or multiple), after which a panel of judges chooses a handful of nominees for each.
And this year, Lodgify had the honor of being nominated for not one, but two Shortyz awards: Best App and Best Property Management System (PMS)!
…and we won!
After the judges announce the nominees for each category, the public votes, choosing which business they feel most deserves each award. Can you guess who they chose for Best App?
That’s right: Lodgify won!
We were honored to have been selected—not only because it feels good to be recognized, but also because it reaffirms that our team’s hard work is providing real value for our customers. We’re very happy to be able to help hosts manage their businesses on the go!

Short Stay Summit
We may have been out late for The Shortyz, but that doesn’t mean the next day was one of rest: We were up bright and early the next morning to head to the Short Stay Summit!
For those who aren’t familiar with it, the Short Stay Summit is one of the industry’s most important events, combining both a conference and an exhibition. What sets it apart is that it’s the only nonprofit event dedicated to the STR industry, meaning that its focus remains 100% on delivering genuine value through educating attendees.
And it definitely delivers on that promise, offering expert-led sessions, exhibitor showcases, networking opportunities, and much more!
Representing Lodgify
So, what did we do at the Short Stay Summit? Represent Lodgify, of course!
We were lucky to have six members of the Lodgify team attending the event, coming from our Sales, Marketing, and Business Development departments. They manned our booth, gave out lots of swag and candy, and offered product demos to anyone interested in learning more about Lodgify.

In addition to having a booth, we were also one of only two gold-level sponsors of the event, along with Booking.com!
We were thrilled to be able to support the Short Stay Summit, which does so much for our industry.
Sharing our expertise
But we didn’t merely attend and sponsor the Short Stay Summit: We also shared our expertise!
More specifically, our Regional Marketing Director Alberto Fernández participated in a workshop talk on “the future of technology.” Alberto and the rest of the panel discussed how hosts and property managers can get the most out of advanced tech, what impact AI has on the industry, and whether dynamic pricing actually works. (You can guess our opinion on this last point!)
Later in the day, Alberto also hosted an SEO consulting session for those interested in learning how to improve the SEO of their website.

The 2025 editions of The Shortyz and the Short Stay Summit did not disappoint, and we can’t wait to attend again next year!
